Global warming solidly linked to Christianity!

As everybody knows, Al Gore is In San Fransisco promoting his new book on global warming. Myself, being a person that is seriously concerned about global warming and rising sea levels, I decided to look into it myself, just to see if I could help Al out. I've been indebted to Al ever since he invented the Internet. I'm immensity proud that I can now use his medium to promote his cause.

In my search back to check on rising sea levels I was shocked to find that sea levels were flat stable before Christ was born. The levels were just over 120 feet lower than they are today. My first thought was uh-oh, somebody's been Bad! I wondered if there could be some kind of correlation between the Birth of Christ and the rising sea. Being a student of history, I followed the rising sea level from the birth of Christ up though the years. I checked to see there was a correlation to the significant stages in Christianity. Wow! At the birth of Christ, God had already started raising sea levels in anticipation. Then at Christ's birth the sea started rising rapidly. Then when he walked on water, you can see in the chart that there was anther sharp blip.

The Crusades caused a sharp upturn because of all of the Christian activity. There was such holy fervor during the First Crusades that the sea went through a period of rapid warming. You can clearly see that sea-melt at the point “Melt water Pulse 'A'” Then, when the First Crusade was over, The was a flattening of the graph line. During the period of relative Christian inactivity.

The first Crusade was followed by another crusade, because the Muslims were trying to practice their own religion and The Pope at the time didn't like that. The Pope must have been a lot like George Bush because he thought that it was necessary to send Christian Knights to the Holy Land to fight for Christianity. You can see the second surge just above the flat period after the First Crusade. When that crusade was over, the sea level rise flat lined again. Then the Third crusade cause another rise. That rise continued clear up until Martin Luther decided that the Catholic Church had too much power and decided to take some away from it. The decline of pure Christianity reduced the rise in sea level. Indeed, it almost flat lined until the present day. The Christians haven't even burned anybody at the stake lately. No wonder the sea level rise has slowed down.

Now Al Gore is in San Fransisco selling books and windmills. How Ironic is that that my “Ol Buddy Al” would be selling something Wind Powered... He said that he has done quite well cashing-in by putting his money where his mouth is. Hmmmm... I'd bet that there is some potential there for me also...

But anyway it's my opinion that if he wants to keep cashing in, he's going to have to bring back the Christian Fervor, like they had in the Crusades. He needs to get himself a Revival Tent and have a good old "Brother Al Traveling Salvation Show”.

To Anon. This whole post is not real. I don't think that Christ really caused the rise in sea level. The chart is off by a factor of ten. It was just too much fun to relate it to Christianity. The only thing that is real is the chart. The sea really was 120 meters (390 feet) lower 20,000 years ago. Go figur'

Sea level change for the last 8 thousand years.

The Earth had no ice 120,000 years ago and the sea level was higher than today.

  1. Doggone Ernie... You have to go and ruin it all at the end. I remember the days, after the publication of the "Population Bomb" when the guys at Cal Tech calculated the year that the excess population of Earth would pile up so fast that they would achieve light speed. I don't remember the year as I suspect it was a joke.
I was about to write an incontrovertible defense of the Health Care Plan in your last string but things got too nasty and I went to You Tube to watch another Mariza video. I may need help.

  2. Ben, only a fool would take me too seriously. But then, only a fool would not concider what I have to say seriously. You have to come to your own conclusions at your own peril. My only wish is to make people think. Then I enjoy the comments.

I'm sorry that I got too rough on “Anon” for you to handle. It's just that it's hard for me to relate to someone that won't let me know who they are, and it's like the other Anon said: some Anons give anonymous a bad name. I find it's better to just be myself, and let the tail follow the hide.

  3. Well I think the mother earth is warming up. The summers of 06, 07 and 08 it never got much above 70° and this last summer I was lucky to see it get below 90° during the night. Scary..

  4. well that's easy to figure out. all that burning people at the stake must have sent up a lot of carbon into the atsmosphere.
i've been reading about how the shawnee burned people at the stake. however, that was after they ran the guantlet. sometimes a gauntlet was a mile long in those days. if you were real bad, like george bush, they would send you from town to town and you would have to run the guantlet in each town. if you survived all that, they would strip you naked and burn you at the stake. sounds pretty good to me. maybe it would inspire some better government around cheer.

  5. not to be so cold. i actually had a relative who was captured by the shawnee in the revolutionary war. he had to run the guantlet, but he must have done good because they adopted him into the tribe. so if you showed some heart, even if you were white, you survived. who'd a thunk it. those savages with an escape clause in the contract.
my ancestor lived with the shawnee for a year before he escaped on a hunting trip. if they would have caught him again, no second chance, it would have been straight to the stake. a friend of daniel boone is the only one who survived the whole ordeal. they just couldn't kill him, no how. he was like the ever ready bunny going through the guantlet.

  7. I like Spy.
Dang, that's got a ring to it.

I am talking about Spyrock and always like his posts.
What I was wondering is why did the Shawnee make them take their clothes off before burning them at the stake? Did they make the men take their clothes off too?
It seems like after I read posts here I go away with more questions than answers.

  9. one book calls him but-lah another calls him bahd-ler. he was big enough to have picked up daniel boone and carried him back to boones fort on the run.
they took their clothes off because they painted them black, the symbol of death, before they burnt them at the stake,.

  10. Kenton, Simon, 1755–1836, American frontiersman, b. probably Fauquier co., Va. In 1771, believing he had killed a man, he fled westward, assuming the name Simon Butler. He settled in Boonesboro, Ky., in 1775 and defended the settlement against frequent Native American attacks; in one of these encounters he saved Daniel Boone's life. During the American Revolution he accompanied (1778) George Rogers Clark on his expedition to Kaskaskia and Vincennes and helped Boone in the raid on Chillicothe. He was later captured by the Native Americans, who brought him to the British in Detroit, but he escaped (1779) and again joined Clark as a scout. Learning that the man he thought he had killed was alive, he resumed his original name, and eventually settled (1799) in Ohio. Kenton was elected a brigadier general of militia in 1804 and served in the War of 1812 at the battle of the Thames.
so i guess you are right about his name,

  11. Ernie, Look closely at the labels on the first graph. They are for THOUSANDS of years, not HUNDREDS of years. Christ was born 2,000 years ago, not 20,000 years ago! Cant you read the graph, and tell that since Christ's time, sea levels have actually been relatively constant? Are you losing it?

  12. Or, perhaps, I should have acted my name and actually read the entire piece! Good one

  13. Concerned reader. Gotcha!

The charts are very real. My comments are a TOTAL fabrication. I used "Al Gore Science".

  14. I wish you wouldn't use Al Gore that way Ernie. It sounds bad to me. If Al was wrong I am sure the AP news people would have checked his book out with at least 11 fact checkers and we would know for sure he is right on.
