I may be gone for a week or so… Okay I will be gone. But I might check in from afar.
My wife has dragged me away to spend money frivolously in the middle of an economic crises. If the economy suddenly returns to healthy levels it will be due to my wife’s spending. So we are doing our part to save the world.
Please feel free to carry on your conversations, talk about the economy, the acorn crop, the mountain lion running down the golf course that scared my dog, etc. The dog’s a sissy.
See you on the flip-flop.

Safe travels.
I hate shopping too.
The chestnuts are looking mighty fine....oh,yeah....you can't stand them. Oh well, all the more for me!
Consume, Ernie, consume!
Lock your house while you're gone or you might find a bunch of unemployed Oregon millworkers living there when you get back!
LOL!
Go forth & spend, Ernie. Spend, spend, spend! Jumpstart that economy!
Ernie, I have heard of "afar" before but don't think I have been there. Just where is it?
Oregon
It's been a lean year for acorns around here.
Just following instructions.
Oregon, "afar" is what we've been starting in the morning with these nippy fall days.
By the way, I've been seeing crummy loads full of out-of-work Oregon millworkers coming into the area surrounding the South Fork of the Eel River. They're setting up makeshift cabins and you can hear them day and night making noise with their nature disturbing chainsawing. And they dress funny and eat really weird food. Let's get a bunch of us together and run 'em out of town.
We don't need their kind around here!
We just got back from Ashland. We thought that we'd do our part for the economy by spending money on culture.
Oh, and I bought a made-in-America jar opener for my mother-in-law.
Paid cash.
