I finally got smart... Well, smartER.

Everyone will be glad to know that any link that is posted in the "Comment" section will now open "Full-Page". I didn't know how to do that before, but other Blogspot blogs had that feature, so I searched for how to do it until I found it.

Now you can make your links full page!

Here's and example for anonymous. (Just teasing, don't get paranoid, okay?)

  1. Here's more...

I got a kick out of Cristina's blog this week.

I know that those people must be related to me!

  3. Hey Ernie,
I see that your July 1 rant ("Happy Stupid Law Day") about cell phones just happened to occur on the same day you got busted at Rotary for having your very own cell phone go off. A little misdirected hostility, eh?

  4. Well the busted cell-phone at Rotary was a set up as you might have guessed. Greg said that he wanted fewer cell phone interuptions at Rotary, especially while the guest speakers were speaking, and he wanted to make a point. So we took a aready broken cell phone and set the "call" up.

  6. Just a note to let you know that I just received word that retired Second District Supervisor Harry Pritchard passed away this afternoon. Harry was a friend and colleague and he always had the best interest of the Second District at heart. I mourn his passing. - ERE

  7. Thank-you Eel River Ernie, for letting me know. Harry was a great guy and I go far enough back with him that we fought fire together. He was the I.C. at the Hartsook Inn fire. We are related, in some way, probably two or three ways. I would not have gotten the building permit for my house if it were not for Harry’s intervention. Both of our families have deep history in Mendocino and Humboldt and along the coast.

I used to go to most of his fundraisers when he was running for Supervisor. He and I used to tell stories to each other about “Bullshistory”. He told the corniest jokes that you ever heard, but they were funny because he enjoyed them so much.

He was a great Supervisor for the firefighters. He always kept an eye on our funding. He wasn’t happy with all of the fallout from prop thirteen, he felt like somebody had just picked his pocket. But he got over it.

Harry was a great guy and I will miss him. The last time that I saw him was at the River Lodge for the decorated pig art auction and fundraiser. Roger Rodoni was one of the runners. More water under Fernbridge….

Do you know if there will be any services?
