Dedicated to remembering how it was “back then”, and Tales about the Eel River Valley, and the wisdom of the people that live there. With a big emphasis on; “Language has never been about correctness, it has always been about communicating”.
We live in one small bubble of place and time that peace is thought of as ideal, we should revel in it!
We cant judge what happened in history by who we are now.
Ernie, I was impressed with the RFFI presentation at the Mateel and signed up for their committee on how to deal with the Tan Oak. Haven't heard from them yet. Your post on Kym's USAL thread mentions Sally Bell's sister. Rhonda Hardy is a descendant of Sally's sister Ellen. She would be interested in any further information you might recall.
My blog site is acting weird tonight. Is anyone else noticing that?
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't know where the little kissy-kissy rating system came from...
I'm going to bed, maybe tomorrow will be better.
I want to see Kissy-kissy rating system. Where is it?
ReplyDeleteErnie, I'm glad you had me go back to look at the Redwood Forest Foundation site. I love all the history there.
Grabbed me by the throat.

ReplyDeleteIn our culture, I tend to dislike extremes. But one I could live with, would be more forests.
ReplyDeleteI've seriously joked to people before that North CA and Oregon should become entirely forest and wildland parks - LOL.
My current page project is:
Grove of Titans & Atlas Grove
Hope to get back to exploring the redwoods again next autumn.
Best,
