Dedicated to remembering how it was “back then”, and Tales about the Eel River Valley, and the wisdom of the people that live there. With a big emphasis on; “Language has never been about correctness, it has always been about communicating”. We live in one small bubble of place and time that peace is thought of as ideal, we should revel in it! We cant judge what happened in history by who we are now.

You uploaded some of the pictures twice, Ernie.
Oh Fred, let him be! We are not perfect little Libertarians! Ha! Just kidding!
How did you get those people to smile Ernie?
"You uploaded some of the pictures twice, Ernie."
Fred
Yeah, but did you notice that I spelled everything right?
"How did you get those people to smile Ernie?"
First, we are a pretty tight knit group. Second, I just tell everybody that “I'm not a photographer, and I don't have any tricks to make then look good, and I just want to be able to see everyone’s faces looking at the camera, and when that happens, I'm going to count to three and click it.”
They will provide their own joke that seems to tickle them. Usually it's something to pick on me.
Ernie, I love seeing everybody since I didn't get to go again this year. Was it good fundraiser?
Add more pictures Ernie. Maybe I will see somebody I know and even maybe somebody I remember. I wish I could have been there.
We had full attendance, as usual.
It is a very warm feeling to see such great appreciation and participation by this community. I will be doing a full post on the event in a few days to a week.
I'll try to include a few pictures of the crowd. But I didn't take any photo's myself. I was too busy keeping the ball in the air.
Jim, Eva Williams was there. She will be Ninety in a few days. She is sharp as a tack. (Red Porter's Wife, Alfred Williams mom.)
Nice letter supporting Estelle, Ernie, in today's T-S. That is why I called you a couple of weeks ago. Thank you!
Where is Ernie?
I know how he got them to smile, check out whats in Beto's hand in every picture he's in
