It was a wonderful place to raise your family because you were sheltered from the real word and that was ok by me. My dad, three brothers and myself all worked at the mill and enjoyed what we did. None of us were rich, but there were many things that small town of Scotia had to offer that were priceless. I'd do it all over again in a heart beat. The way that I see it is that Maxam and Hurowitz made a damn fortune, and then went bankrupt on the junk bonds. The owners of the junk bonds ended up with the town. They are trying to make forming a new town a way out of their misfortune.
